The treatment involves: initial medical examination, one check-up examination every week, final check-up, setting up of individual treatment programme (approx. 3 – 4 spa procedures daily). The length of stay for complete spa care is 21 days (with option for extension according to indication group after approval of the medical officer of contractual insurance companies). For those being treated long-term, you need to provide a brief description of your health from your doctor including information on medicines you use permanently. Your general practitioner will propose complete spa care on the recommendation of a specialist doctor and will send the proposal to the health insurance company. The insurance company medical officer approves the proposal and the insurance company sends the patient to the spa. The spa will issue a written invitation letter and undertake accommodation reservation on the basis of receipt of the proposal for spa health care from the health insurance company (valid 3 months) or on the basis of an order with requested starting dates and required accommodation standard.
For contributory spa care, the health insurance company does not pay for costs related to accommodation and meals. A proposal for contributory spa care is issued by your general practitioner, who sends it to your insurance company. The proposal for contributory spa care is approved by the insurance company’s medical officer and received by the patient who sends it together with a request for a rough date of arrival, required accommodation standard and type of meals taken to the spa. The spa will issue a written invitation letter and undertake accommodation reservation. The proposal is valid for 6 months. Length of stay is 14-21 days.
